VALORANT patch 3.03 brings crosshair profiles and Viper bug fix

Patch 3.03 for VALORANT brought quick fixes to Viper, the cross hair profile features, several map changes, and more. The long awaited changes to divisive duelist Agent, Yoru, were skipped out this patch. Character Producer John Goscicki stated that the Yoru updates have been ‘indefinitely’ delayed. Though not specify why, Goscicki claimed that “resources needed to do this work are unavailable to us” and that we would be updated when these changes come. Until then, we have several other new patch features to look forward to.

Crosshair profiles – Make and save countless crosshairs

Players everywhere can now save and switch between their pre-set crosshairs with the new crosshair profile feature. Now added to the game, you can customize and save your crosshairs by clicking ‘Use Advance Options.’ From here, you can set any number of crosshairs to save and eventually use. This extends beyond just regular rifle crosshairs and into sniper dot settings as well. You can somewhat standardize your crosshairs across weapons by setting a minimum firing error.

Viper fixes – No more projectile ultimates

Players have experienced a Viper bug in recent weeks where Viper’s Pit formed around the placement of the mouse rather than the character herself. Many Viper mains actually saw this a fairly advantageous buff considering they could better aim the placement of their ultimate. This patch revealed that this was indeed a bug and will be removed. The philosophy behind Viper’s ult is that she must clear out an area before she can continue to lock it down.
