VALORANT: New Leaks for the fourteenth agent “Yoru”

Update: New leaks have surfaced concerning Agent 14 “Stealth”.

Although we officially still do not know anything besides the silhouette of the fourteenth agent to join the roster in VALORANT, new leaks have surfaced for Agent “Stealth”.

Named “Yoru” the Agent’s abilities have now reportedly been leaked alongside a video showcasing gameplay:

According to a Reddit translation his abilities will be as the following:

  • Z ⁠— Creates steps sound. Press ‘Fire’ to send it ahead, or pre-place it with ‘Alt-Fire,’ then press ‘F’ to send inactive one ahead.
  • X ⁠— Flash. Press ‘Fire’ to throw it, it will pop after contacting with surface.
  • C ⁠— Press ability button to place Portal, press ‘Fire’ to send Portal ahead, anchor Portal with ‘Alt-Fire.’ Press activate to teleport through the Portal.
  • Q (Ultimate) ⁠— Press ‘Fire’ to become invisible to enemies. Reportedly also turns player invulnerable. Footsteps can still be heard.

As usual these are leaks and should not be treated as confirmed facts of the upcoming agent. They do however line up with Riot’s announcement that 2021 “will tear open with a Duelist for all you lurkers out there, who will keep you on your toes around which angles are truly safe.”

With those words it should come as little surprise if Yoru will be officially unveiled with the abilities outlined above come Chapter 2 on January 12.

It looks like VALORANT is set to receive a brand new agent. On their VALORANT media webpage Riot Games has added multiple wallpapers which feature the darkened out silhouette of the new agent. 

After it was discovered the images made the rounds on Twitter. It’s believed that the new agent will be released alongside Episode 2, which would put the release of the mysterious figure somewhere next month. The new character would be the fourteenth agent in the game, with Skye currently being the last one to be unveiled.

Riot Games themselves haven’t given out any information about the new agent as of yet but several people came up with some theories. One data miner claims he has found the codename of the agent, which is ‘Stealth’, while others claim to have found some easter eggs hinting at the agent on the map Icebox in the form of footsteps. Riot Games is well known for leaving easter eggs for upcoming content spread around their maps and game.

These hints also point in the direction of a possible theme for the agent. Some players theorize that the new agent will be a samurai, who will have a stealthy playstyle with abilities that put more focus on movement. We’ll have to wait until more information about the agent, codenamed ‘stealth’, surfaces.
