VALORANT brings back Snowball Fight

Snowball Fight quickly became one of the fan-favorite game modes and Riot Games decided to bring it back for the holidays after it won a poll. They announced the return of the game mode on Twitter yesterday. “Deck the halls with snowballs and mollies. You voted and we listened. This winter wonder of a game mode is live now until January 11, 2022.”

The game mode is relatively easy to understand. Players will take each other on in teams of five versus five and there’ll be no weapons or abilities available to them. Instead they get to use the Snowball Launcher which players get at the start of the match, together with the standard melee weapon. If you get hit by a snowball or you hit an enemy, it’s an instant kill. First team to 50 kills wins the game.

To shake things up even more there’s ways to make your Snowball Launcher even more effective, which includes ways of making your snowballs larger or increasing your movement speed through skates. Fans will have quite a bit of time to enjoy the game mode with their friends, as Riot Games has decided to bring it back until January 11. Chances are we’ll see a return of the other game modes, Escalation and Replication, somewhere later next year.
