North American esports organization TSM may reportedly be facing some trouble this offseason. According to journalist Jacob Wolf, TSM bot laner Doublelift won’t play (or will perhaps retire) if he can’t play alongside a top foreign support this upcoming season.
TSM is currently in talks to sign Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh (former player of Suning) to the organization, according to some of the latest rumors. Jacob Wolf says the deal might be in jeopardy however, as TSM face immigration and payment issues for the star support player. The biggest issue being a possible double tax on the salary of SwordArt. If TSM isn’t able to sign a strong foreign support player, Doublelift’s future with them is also reportedly uncertain.
The flux comes as TSM are struggling to nail down former Suning support SwordArt, who they were close to a deal with but may fall apart due to immigration and payment issues, per sources.

This might also lead to a possible deal between TSM and Evil Geniuses concerning academy bot laner Lost and top laner Huni respectively falling through. Evil Geniuses wanted to acquire Lost as their bot laner while TSM looked towards Huni as a possible replacement for Broken Blade, who will leave the organization. The deal would also allow Evil Geniuses to sign former Team Liquid top laner Impact.
TSM’s projected roster for the upcoming season might look very different all of a sudden, with a lot of decisions and agreements riding on the completion of the SwordArt signing.
