The well-known esports organization, TSM, is officially entering the Dota 2 scene. TSM officially acquisitioned Team Undying’s roster and will debut the roster under its new banner in the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Winter Tour Regional Finals.
Team Undying had a breakout year in 2021, forming a super team in North America and emerged as one of the region’s favorites. MoonMeander and DuBu spearheaded the roster with their veteran leadership. Though a relatively new organization, Team Undying were able to keep up with the likes of Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew.
The team was able to qualify for The International 10 through the North American qualifiers. Team Undying competed as an independent organization, fully funded by fans and the team’s earnings. The team unfortunately fell out early though not before showing several respectable performances.
Team Undying managed to keep the same roster throughout the 2022 DPC, managing a second place finish in the Winter Tour, breaking their notorious third place streak though falling just short of first. Now, the team has acquired a major source of funding and resources after being signed by TSM.
This marks TSM’s first forray into Dota 2. The storied organization has competed in countless titles, including League of Legends, VALORANT, formerly CS:GO, Apex Legends, Fortnite, and more. Though the organization’s entrance into Dota 2 may be relatively new, players promise a ‘new era in North America.’
