Triumph returns to CS:GO with overhauled roster

Triumph announced their return to CS:GO with an announcement video on Twitter, showcasing their new signing going into 2021. Among the new signings we see some familiar faces such as Austin “Cooper-” Abadir and Danny “xczi” Strzelczyk. The roster already made their debut in the Mythic Winter Cup in the past weekend.

The roster will be built around their IGL Alan “Shakezullah” Hardeman and Brendan “Bwills” Williams, who joined the organization back in February and November of 2020 respectively. Triumph signed three new players to fill out their roster, namely Austin “Cooper-” Abadir, Danny “cxzi” Strzelczyk and Wesley “viz” Harris. Both Cooper- and cxzi return from a period where they were mostly inactive and playing as stand-ins for Mythic and Gen.G respectively.

The roster already made their debut in the Mythic Winter Cup, where they reached the Grand Final after victories over Eclipse and RBG Esports. They would go on to lose the Grand Final against HCE, however, but it’s a promising start for the roster nonetheless. In three days they’ll be playing again, this time in the ESEA Winter Cash Cup within the recently overhauled ESEA format.

Triumph talked about their new CS:GO signings in a statement posted to their website by General Manager Shown Bischoff. “We’re excited for CS:GO in 2021. Despite many challenges last year, we managed to prove that there is incredible talent lurking in North America. Our goals with this roster are to continue to invest time into new talent and prove once again that we can win at the highest level. “
