Riot Games has finally showcased their newest champion that’ll be hitting the rift soon, the Rogue Sentinel Akshan.
Akshan is surely an interesting character to add to the ever-growing roster of champions. The champion has a lot of focus on dealing damage and boasts quite a bit of maneuverability with his hookshot. He is also able to mark enemies as a Scoundrel, which if he manages to take that enemy down, means any of the allies that were killed by that enemy will come back to the fountain.
Akshan’s got a lot going on. He’s a Sentinel of Light who swings into battle wielding an ancient weapon of tremendous power. He’s a man who believes in doing the right thing, no matter the cost. And he’s got a nice smile to boot!

Riot Games has been teasing Akshan for quite a while, most recently through an online puzzle for the Sentinels of Light event, which gave us a first glimpse at the look of the champion. The lore of Akshan is interwoven with the Sentinels of Light and Viego and he’ll play a role in the upcoming event.
For those who are interested in trying out Akshan, you won’t have to wait all too long. Akshan is scheduled to go live when patch 11.15 hits the rift, which means he’ll be playable come July 21. The new champion will immediately be getting a brand new skin as well in the form of a Cyber Pop skin.
