These were the most popular champions in season 11

Season 11 of League of Legends has come and gone, having ended on November 15th. The most recent competitive season has brought plenty of new champions and items to the game as it cycled through countless metas. After a long year, these are the most popular picks at the end of Season 11. These stats are taken from every rank across every region in the world.

5. Jinx

The release of Arcane, though coming at the end of the season, undeniably had a major effect on Champion pick rates. The Netflix animated series brought a mass of new players into the longstanding MOBA. The characters featured in the League of Legends show, including Jinx suddenly skyrocketed to the top of the pick rate standings by the end of 11.23.

The ADC champion makes up 19.1% of the game’s champion pick rate. Jinx simultaneously has one of the lowest ban rates (4.1%) while balancing a perfect 50% win rate. Though not the only bottom lane focused champion on this list, Jinx’s rise is a testament to the growth of Riot’s cross-platform efforts.

4. Jhin

The second ADC on this list, Jhin is only slightly ahead of Jinx with a 19.9% pick rate at the end of the season. Ever since the champion was released in 2019, he has found a near constant home in the bottom lane both in ranked and professional play. The champion’s long ranged abilities makes him one of the safest in-lane champions in the game.

3. Yasuo

Yasuo is similarly a champion that tends to top pick rate lists year after year. The champion is viewed as flexible across every role in League of Legends. With a 22.4% pick rate, Yasuo heralds an even high ban rate at 31.2%. Yasuo has long been one of the highest picked champions in the game, released in 2013.

A pick almost as notorious as he is popular, Yasuo promotes an aggressive play style that heavily relies on 1v1s. Yasuo is easily one of the most divisive champions in the game, although among the most popular as well.

2. Lux

As far as control mages go, Lux is by far one of the most popular. Viable in both the middle lane and support positions, Lux is an easy-to-learn but hard-to-master champion. Her kit has plenty of CC along with long range abilities capable of incapacitating opponents and sniping kill from across the screen.

Lux’s appeal to new players along with her general strength in any given meta account for her ever prevailing pick rate. Lux holds the spot at second place with a 25.8% pick rate.

1. Caitlyn

The third ADC to top the list, Caitlyn comes in at a 28.5% pick rate. The bottom laner also has the lowest win rate out of any champion in the top ten most picked, winning less than half of her games at 49.4%. Yet another character from Arcane, Caitlyn has weaved in and out of the game’s meta throughout the years. Caitlyn is certainly not a mainstay in the meta, however has made a convincing appearance at the tail end of season 11.
