These are the eight teams locked in for the CDL Championship

All eight competitors for the Call of Duty League Championship are set.

The eighth and final spot has been locked in by the Florida Mutineers after they beat the Los Angeles Guerillas 3-1. Florida will join seven other teams in Lost Angeles for the CDL Championship, which will run from August 19 until August 22.

Comfortably in the lead is Atlanta FaZe with 485 points, a whopping 155 points ahead of second-place Toronto Ultra. This has secured the number one seed for Atlanta.

The second seed for the Championship is still up for grabs, and four teams are still fighting for that second bye-ticket to the Winners Round Two. Toronto Ultra, Dallas Empire, New York Subliners, and OpTic Chicago still have a shot.

Teams ending the regular season in 3rd to 6th will begin in Winners Round 1, while the bottom two teams will start in the Elimination bracket. Minnesota, Los Angeles, and Florida are all still fighting for that 6th spot.

This means two teams are immediately at risk of being eliminated, while all the teams in the Winners Round can afford one loss before being sent home.

The teams locked in for the Championship are:

  • Atlanta FaZe
  • Toronto Ultra
  • Dallas Empire
  • New York Subliners
  • OpTic Chicago
  • Minnesota Røkkr
  • Florida Mutineers
  • Los Angeles Guerillas

The total prize money for the CDL Championship is $1,250,000 for first place, $600,000 for second place, and $300,000 for third place.
