Stats provided by Esports Charts.

5. PUBG Mobile

Hours watched: 216.7 Million
Peak viewers: 3.8 Million

With over 200 million hours watched, PUBG mobile sits comfortably in fifth place. The mobile game remains very popular, with most of its viewership coming from Southeast Asia and South America. It might not be the highest mobile game on the list, but it has remained consistent for years now and the game has built a solid competitive foundation for itself over the years.

4. Dota 2

Hours watched: 347.6 Million
Peak viewers: 2.7 Million

The evergreen MOBA from Valve has remained one of the most watched titles in the esports industry as a whole, especially with the return of The International after COVID woes. Viewership has increased significantly compared to last year (over 25%) and hype for the offline tournaments has returned, with the game seeing some great numbers coming from the WePlay AniMajor and the Singapore Major.

3. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Hours watched: 387.2 Million
Peak viewers: 3.1 Million

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is the highest ranked mobile game on the list and might not even be a familiar name in Europe and North America (yet). The game is extremely popular in countries such as the Philippines and Malaysia and has had a great year in terms of esports and viewership.

2. CS:GO

Hours watched: 410.8 Million
Peak viewers: 2.7 Million

CS:GO remains a mainstay in the esports landscape and keeps in drawing viewers, old and new. Offline events brought some hype to the industry once more, which CS:GO capitalized on, increasing viewership by almost 15%. The PGL Stockholm Major became the biggest event in years, gaining over 2.7 million concurrent viewers. CS:GO might be getting on in age, it’s certainly not going anywhere for the near future.

1. League of Legends

Hours watched: 664.1 Million
Peak viewers: 4.1 Million

League of Legends is the most watched esports title in the world and it has been for years now, standing head and shoulders above the rest. The popular moba continued to grow even in 2021, increasing viewership by up to 13%. The latest edition of Worlds (2021) became a big success and with the myriad of regional competitions, League of Legends has firmly planted its roots all over the industry.
