These are the three Pools for Worlds 2021

Riot Games has provided details regarding the team pools for the 2021 League of Legends World Championship. With less than a month to go, Riot revealed the pools of both the main event and play-in teams. Along with this information came date confirmations regarding the Worlds pre-show and group draw. The pools specifically are of great importance because they will decide which teams end up grouped with each other.

These are the teams that make up their respective pools:

Pool #1: EDG, Damwon Kia, MAD Lions, and PSG Talon

Pool #2: FunPlus Phoenix, Gen.G, Fnatic, and 100 Thieves

Pool#3: RNG, T1, Rogue, and Team Liquid

Pool #4: TBA

Each Worlds group will comprise of four teams, one pulled from each pool. The first seeds are the regional champions from the LPL, LCK, LEC, and PCS. The second pool is made up up the second-place seeds and the LCS Champions, 100 Thieves. The third pool contains regional qualifiers from the LPL and LCK as well as the third and second place teams from the LEC and LCS. The final group will be known after play-ins, as four more teams will qualify for the main event and be slotted into a group.

10 teams will make up the two separate groups for the play-ins stage also pulled from two pools. The first pool will contain Cloud9, LNG, Hanwha Life, and Beyond. The second pool will contain the remaining wildcard region teams. The groups show will officially reveal the make up of groups for both the play-ins and main event, which will air live on Wednesday, September 22 at 7 A.M. Worlds will officially start with the play-ins stage on October 5th.
