The local competitions are now all over and done with, meaning we have all the names of the participants for the Mid-Season Invitational.
Group A
- Royal Never Give Up (LPL)
- GAM Esports (VCS)
- Unicorns of Love (CIS)
- Pentanet.GG (LCO)
The first group of participants features the current LPL champions, Royal Never Give Up, who also enter the tournament as one of the favorites to win it all. Both GAM Esports and Unicorns of Love are the dark horses in the group and will likely scrap for the second place, while Pentanet.GG might find themselves caught in the crossfire.

Group B
- MAD Lions (LEC)
- PSG Talon (PCS)
- Istanbul Wildcats (TCL)
- paiN Gaming (CBLOL)
When it comes to the groups itself, it can be argued MAD Lions got the short end of the stick. PCS is a region that’s known for surprising internationally, while both the TCL (Istanbul Wildcats) and CBLOL (paiN Gaming) can potentially take games away from those who are unprepared. Most likely the most difficult group to predict.

Group C
- DAMWON Gaming KIA (LCK)
- Cloud9 (LCS)
- Infinity Esports (LLA)
- DetonatioN FocusMe (LJL)
There’s no doubt that DAMWON Gaming KIA is the top tier candidate to win the entire event, which would make it difficult for Cloud9 to get to that second place. In theory and perhaps on paper LCS representatives Cloud9 are the strongest next to DWG. Infinity Esports are looking to prove themselves while DetonatioN FocusMe has looked scary during the regular season and playoffs of the LJL.
