After being leaked several days prior, VALORANT officially confirmed Neon as the latest Agent to be added to the game. Along with her announcement came an Agent trailer. The video showed off both her lore and abilities.
As hinted at in developer updates and leaks, Neon’s kit will rely heavily on speed. Aptly codenamed ‘Sprint’, one her abilities appears to be the power to sprint. So far in VALORANT, there has been no other Agent able to move faster than the basic run without aid from an ability.
Another power flaunted in the Agent trailer is a Phoenix wall-style lineup. Instead of one single wall however, Neon raises two parallel walls similar to a race track. Neon and others are able to weave in and out of the wall though it is unclear if the wall damages opponents.
Another perspective asset in Neon’s kit is a slide ability. Able to slide around corners, this is particularly a good tool for peaking corners and rushing opponents. The slide is able to take Neon a good distance, also making it a good ability to find cover or reposition.
Finally, Neon’s ultimate appears to be a tazer like finger gun that eliminates opponents quickly. The range and exact damage figures are unclear, however the tool appears to be quite lethal.
With a vibrant color palette and unique abilities, Neon is sure to make waves in VALORANT. Neon is set to hit VALORANT at the start of Episode 4: Disruption.
