With the LPL regional qualifiers wrapped up, we now know all of our Worlds 2021 contenders. Representatives from the China, South Korea, Europe, NA, Southeast Asia, and more will meet in Europe to battle for the World Championship. Unfortunately, there will be no VCS representative as the region will miss its third straight international competition. As with Iceland, the Vietnamese region could not secure travel visas to make it to the world championship. For the teams attending, this appears to be one of the most stacked lineups in Worlds history.
Worlds is the pinnacle. Here, you’ll find soaring victory or crushing defeat. Life-changing wins or legacy-shattering losses. Champions… and everyone else.

The LPL will be sending EDward Gaming, former champions FunPlus Phoenix, the MSI champions Royal Never Give Up, and recent qualifiers LNG Esports. The LCK will send the reigning World champions Damwon Kia, the legendary organization T1, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life Esports to the competition.
From the LEC three teams will represent Europe. The two time domestic champions MAD Lions will compete as the first seed, followed by Fnatic and Rogue. For the first time, 100 Thieves will be the LCS first seed, but followed by two familiar faces to the Worlds stage in Team Liquid and Cloud9.

The other remaining teams will be slotted into Worlds play-ins. Unicorns of Love will represent Russia for the second straight Worlds. Infinity Esports will look to redeem themselves after their MSI performance at Worlds 2021. Galatasaray Esports will represent Turkey for the first time. Red Canids, DFM, and Peace will round out the remaining play-ins teams from Brazil, Japan, and OCE.
