The Top 10 Most Popular Games on Twitch in December
With December almost over it’s time to once again take a look at the most-watched games on Twitch. Will we once again see the usual suspects shining bright or has a new challenger appeared on the horizon?
December also saw the release of games such as Cyberpunk 2077 (for better or for worse) and with some end-of-year tournaments and events on the calendar, some games seem to have found some new viewership.

Just like in November, FIFA 21 stays in the top 10 of the most streamed and watched games on Twitch with a 10th place finish. FIFA 21 remains one of the more popular games of the franchise in recent years when it comes to streaming numbers. ▲
After months of being at the top Among Us has taken a (minor) hit in viewership in the month of December, despite some brand new updates, falling back to 9th place. It still remains the most popular party game of the moment, however. ▲
Call of Duty: Warzone remains the most popular Battle Royale game, settling down in 8th place. With (and despite) the release of Black Ops: Cold War in November, Warzone is still going strong. ▲
The popularity of Grand Theft Auto V remains incredible. Despite being around since September 2013, Rockstars pride and joy is still raking in the viewers in 7th place. ▲
Their launch may not have been without its problems, but Cyberpunk 2077 sits comfortably in 6th place when it comes to hours watched on Twitch in December. Was the game worth the hype? ▲
It is no surprise that CS:GO is still finding itself with a ton of viewers. In December, CS:GO was the fifth most-watched game on Twitch with the IEM Global Challenge as one of the biggest spikes. ▲
The Minecraft renaissance has been in full swing for a while now. As multiple big-name streamers have embraced the game once more, its popularity (currently in fourth place) is unwavering. ▲
It has been a glorious return to form for World of Warcraft as it sits comfortably in third place of the most-watched Twitch games following the release of Shadowlands. ▲
What is a top 10 most-watched list without League of Legends somewhere around the top three? In December League of Legends was the second most-watched game on Twitch, with a new season on the horizon and professional play coming up next month. ▲
Fortnite once again finds itself at the top of the charts when it comes to hours watched. The game remains popular since its release and a lot of professional (and casual) players seem to be enjoying the content in the newest season. ▲
