The Top 10 Most Popular Games on Twitch During September

As September ends let us take a look back on which games were the most popular on Twitch.

While Among Us has been reaching milestone after milestone, the biggest League of Legends event of the year has also kicked off. Which game was more popular during September? Here are the Top 10 of the month according to Watchtime by sullygnome.com.

Sitting on tenth, VALORANT barely makes the cut for this month´s most popular games. While the steady stream of updates for Riot´s shooter is still ongoing, its popularity seems to have dropped slightly.
Checking in at ninth is Minecraft. Even years after release there is still more to explore in the sandbox games thanks to the vibrant community.
Dota 2 makes it to eighth place in September. Conveniently enough September also saw Team Secret win their eighth tournament in a row.
Fall Guys introduced a couple of new features and a stricter anti-cheat for their game, but had to content themselves with seventh for September.
CS:GO finds itself just outside of the Top 5 as the competitive scene has been hit by one of the worst scandals in history.
Fifth place for GTA V in September once more reminds us that we are all eagerly awaiting news on a new entry to the franchise.
In fourth place we find Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. While the game will soon be succeeded by Black Ops: Cold War, Warzone is making sure that CoD: Modern Warfare is among the most popular games until then.
Making it back to the Top 3 Fortnite`s recent troubles with Apple and Google seem to not have impacted the popularity of the game too much.
While LoL made a spirited challenge to Among Us for Septembr, in the end it still missed out on the top spot. With the Main Event of Worlds 2020 about to start in October, things will most likely change.
Not sus at all is the first place for September. Among Us may destroy year-long friendships and more but it is just too damn entertaining.
