The International 10 moved to October, set to take place in Romania

Dota 2’s biggest competition will be held this October in Bucharest, Romania.

Following the Animajor, Dota 2’s biggest competition of the year has been officially announced. The International 10 will be held in Bucharest, Romania, the capital of its home country. In addition to this, TI10 will be held in front of a live audience, the first time in quite awhile for Dota 2 and esports generally. The Arena Nationala has the capacity of holding 53,329 total attendees, but information regarding ticket sales will be released later.

Set to take place in October, TI10’s Group Stage will take place over the course of over four days, from the 7th to the 10th. The knockout stages will continue on October 12th with the finals slated for the 17th. The winning team will not only get to raise the iconic Aegis of Champions but also will take home the largest share of the $40,018,195 prize pool.

Currently, teams are fighting for the final spots at TI10 in their respective regional qualifiers. The WePlay AniMajor Champions, PSG.LGD will hope to recreate their title winning performance. Other favorites such as Evil Geniuses, T1, and Virtus.pro have already all qualified. With only two spots remaining from China and Western Europe, the remainder of the Group Stage should be filled out soon.
