In CS:GO’s online era, many teams undergo fundamental structural changes. One of them is North American organization Cloud9, who are looking to fill their roster once again.
Since the release announcement of their mixed NA and South African roster, esports organization Cloud9 is looking for new players to fill those big shoes.
Their new manager and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive analyst Henry “HenryG” Greer announced on Twitter that the roster is not yet filled completely.
While we’re here, the 5 man roster is not finalised and I still have seats available.
Not happy with your current situation?
You think you have what it takes to compete in the top 10 of the world?
you know where to find me. Act fast.

Currently it is unknown whether the team will be an international lineup or focused on players from one country specifically. Interested players should be quick to apply for a spot. Some teamless pros took that advice. It seems like the team will not have any problems finding an AWPer.
In it for the long run
One of the most interesting additions to the roster might be legendary AWPer Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács, who helped teams like NaVi und FaZe Clan rise to the top before being benched at the start of the year.
He was very quick to shoot HenryG a reply under the thread:
I dont think anyone knows where to find you… …since u left casting, that would be the only place i would be looking for you, in your talent chair 🙃

That tweet in addition to his recent column for Dexerto suggest that the Slovakian legend is looking to rise to the top of the scene once again:
“I’m ready to return to competing in CS:GO at the highest level. […] With the right team, I know I can fill the void as a top-tier AWPer and grind to become one of the best snipers in CS:GO again.”

More players seem interested
GuardiaN is not the only well-known player to try his luck at the new roster. British AWPer Owen “smooya” Butterfield also replied to the tweet with a more cryptic kind of text.
Hmm

Even though Butterfield’s playtime in big CS teams has been fairly limited so far, he has one of the bigger fanbases in the scene. That comes from his successful stay at german organization BIG in 2018 to 2019 and his time at Chaos Esports Club earlier in 2020.
Throwing additional fuel to the rumour mill is the recent statement by Alex “ALEX” McMeekin. The former in-game leader of Team Vitality has now officially departed from the organisation after spending months on the bench.
Moving on.

His Twitlonger ends with the cryptic statement: “By the way, how many UK players is too many for one team?” As he is scheduled to reveal his future plans on September 10 we can expect news very soon.
Another player that made his interest quite clear is Malaysian player Andrew “kaze” Khong who currently plays for the chinese team ViCi Gaming and already competed at two majors.

Other than those players who seem interested in joining, fans are guessing about some other players that might fill the roster. Speculations are going on about mousesports’ benched AWPer Özgür “woxic” Eker and Swedish prodigy Rasmus “kreaz” Johansson.
Currently, Cloud9 have not revealed any information about the new roster other than the new coach Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović, who already brought teams like 100Thieves and Renegades to the top of the scene.
