The Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded patch notes are here – Which weapons are stronger?

Multiplayer

A new map will be hitting multiplayer in the form of Zoo, which was one of the DLC maps in the original Black Ops game. In combination with this, a Zoo 24/7 playlist will also be released. Demolition is also making its way into Black Ops Cold War, which has always been a fan-favorite game mode which sees attacking teams try to destroy bomb sites, while the defenders protect them.

This week we’ll also be seeing 12v12 moshpit make a comeback in the Featured Playlist and the new map Zoo will be added to the map rotation as well. Furthermore Face Off 6v6 and the Cranked Moshpit also make a return.

What about the weapons in Warzone?

The new update also brings with it new patch notes, with some weapons being nerfed and others buffed. On the side of Assault Rifles, it’s almost all nerfs, with the Krig 6, EM2 and C58 being slightly toned down. The Krig 6 received the biggest nerf with a maximum and minimum damage decrease. The Groza on the other hand got buffed with an increase in Sprint to Fire Speed of 15%.

When it comes to the Light Machine Guns, the Stoner 63 was hit with a smaller nerf, increasing the recoil, making it harder to stay on target and pick off enemies at a distance. Similarly to the LMGs, the Tactical Rifles also got hit with recoil adjustments. Out of all of them, the Type 63 got knocked down hard, bringing down the headshot multiplier from 2.1 to 1.58 yet increasing the neck multiplier and decreasing kick.

Submachine Guns mostly got hit on the accuracy and their range, with the PPsh-41 and OTs9 being adjusted. The former gets more ADS sway and adjusted weapon kick, while the latter sees its maximum damage range decreased by 6.2%. Finally there’s the sniper rifles, which see the ZRG 20mm and Swiss K31 impacted. Both had their recoil adjusted to make them a tad bit more usable.

Warzone Event & new operators

We also got some more information on the Numbers Event in Warzone. It’s expected to start on September 21 and will introduce a heap of challenges which focus mainly on the mobile broadcast stations. This way players can earn extra cash and cosmetics by completing in-game challenges and tasks with a new melee weapon being unlocked by those who complete them all.

There’s also two new operators hitting the game. The first one is Hudson, a known member of NATO, while the other one is Judge Dredd. Dredd is a comic book character who also had multiple movies made about him, being a futuristic ‘judge’ and continuing the introduction of pop-culture characters as operators in Call of Duty Warzone.
