The best weapons to use in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

With the start of Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, players can expect a new meta as well.

Warzone season 4 has brought one the biggest balance updates in the history of the battle royale. Nearly every weapon saw some amount of changes in this sweeping patch. In their patch notes, Raven Software stated that the development of a meta is inevitable. This patch has left many players searching for the best weapons however, as the extensive buffs and nerfs has flipped the game on its head. These are our picks for the strongest weapons in Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 Reloaded.

CR-56 AMAX – A classic AR returned to the meta

The CR-56 AMAX saw a lateral shift after this massive patch. Though upper torso damage was nerfed, the headshot multiplier was slightly increased. At the top of many streamers and pros arsenals, the CR-56 AMAX still holds its title as one of the strongest assault rifles in the game.

Though the XM4 may have held the title, the decreases to maximum and minimum damage has drastically inhibited the weapon’s effectiveness. If you’re an AR player, now is definitely the time to jump back on the CR-56 bandwagon.

The Bullfrog – Spray with a purpose

The Bullfrog has long been a contentious SMG. With the highest magazine capacity in the entire game and insanely fast rate-of-fire, The Bullfrog had clear upsides and downsides. Few attachments could mitigate the near uncontrollable spray of the Bullfrog. Recent buffs to the SMG’s damage output may bring it back to viable status.

Damage multiplier to both arms and legs were buffed while maximum damage and Headshot multipliers were slightly nerfed. The wide spray of the weapon, most often hitting the peripheries of enemy targets. Though certainly not the most refined weapon, the Bullfrog is one of the most fun, and now most deadly, SMGs.

PKM – Untouched at the top of LMGs

The PKM is one of the few weapons that made it out of this sweeping patch unscathed. The PKM has been the most reliable LMG in Call of Duty Warzone for quite some time. The slight damage buff only reinforces the gun’s status as the best in it’s class. Though the range was slightly decrease, the LMG still easily can win gunfights from any distance.

As with all LMGs, you’ll need to sacrifice your mobility to wield the behemoth, but in situations where you need firepower, it pays off. The PKM can enjoy another season at the top of the LMG list, standing as the strongest once again.

Kar98k – Damage at a distance

The position for the top sniper rifle has almost always been disputed, but the Kar98k has always been at the top of the discussion. Snipers received very little attention in the recent update, but this may actually be a good thing for long ranged players. While rifles and SMGs all switched around in priority, the favorite sniper rifles have remained the same.

The Kar98k is still the best ‘one shot’ sniper rifle in Call of Duty Warzone. The aggressive sniper rifle is still best at short to mid range gun fights, suffering from damage drop off. Still capable of doing impressive work, the Kar98k should still be your sniper of choice.

Gallo SA12 – The room clearer

Shotguns have long been a two horse race between the Gallo SA12 and the Street Sweeper. The Street Sweeper suffered some hefty nerfs while the Gallo made a clean getaway. Due to this, the Gallo SA12 could be considered the single best shotgun in the game. The weapon is still an almost insta-kill at most short range conflicts without sacrificing much in terms of control of recoil. For right now, the Gallo SA12 is the way to go if you want to use blow people away in Verdansk ’84.

DMR-14 – The rifle that ruled the game

The DMR-14 had one of the longest reigns in Warzone as the single strongest rifle in the game. For months, players lamented against its presence in almost every lobby. Still, even after all this time it is still the best tactical rifle to date. The rifle received some massive buffs last season that have carried over to Season 4 in Warzone. Left untouched by the Season 4 patch, it now easily beats out the M16 and AUG. Tactical rifles are a fickle class of weapons, but if you want to one-tap opponents across the map, than the DMR-14 is still the way to go.
