Age of Empires IV is not just a great game to play but also to watch. Either to be entertained by the top players or to learn and improve for your own ladder games. Here are some of the best streamers across all platforms to watch.
Video – How Twitch became the most popular streaming platform
TheViper (on Facebook Gaming)
We kick off our list with the GOAT of Age of Empires: TheViper. His dominance in Age of Empires II has seemingly translated without issue into Age of Empires IV as he won the first S-Tier tournament Genesis shortly after release.
He also plays a wide variety of civilizations with helpful and entertaining commentary. Only downside to his stream might be the unfamiliar Facebook Gaming website, but it is not that hard to find what you are looking for.
His YouTube is also frequently updated with highlights, full games, guides and his strange and unusual strats “MASTAPIECES”. Make sure to check it out if you cannot catch him live.
If you are interested in TheViper’s early thoughts on Age of Empires IV, we also had the chance to interview him shortly after his Genesis win. You can find the interview here:
Grubby
A legendary RTS player most known for his time as one of the best WarCraft III players, Grubby has transitioned into a streamer in recent years. You can catch him online almost every day or his reruns, while he is playing and teaching the game at the same time.
Make sure to also check out his YouTube channel, where he frequently shows off build orders and more.
Hera
One of the “newer” additions to that Age of Empires scene Hera has been part of the wave of youngsters challenging the old guard in Age of Empires II in recent times. Hera also participated in Age of Empires IV’s Genesis, where he finished in the Top 8. If you are interested in the thoughts of pro players as they play, make sure to tune in on Hera’s Twitch. Don’t forget to also check out his videos on YouTube.
TrumpSC
TrumpSC is another prominent showcase on how many scenes are converging in Age of Empires IV. While he was also active in StarCraft II’s early scene, he is most well-known at this point for his play in Hearthstone. He has taken to Age of Empires IV rapidly and is among the most active streamers on Twitch.
You can also check out his videos on YouTube for additional content.
Aussie_Drongo
The biggest Age of Empires III streamer has also dived into Age of Empires IV. Not even the timezone difference could stop his enthusiasm for the new game as he also casted the majority of Genesis from Australia. His streams are not only gameplay but also involve in-promptu casts, so make sure to take a look.
Turin (on YouTube)
Maybe less well-known but certainly not less helpful Turin is also a recommended watch for many players. Streaming on YouTube almost daily, you can find hours of content with helpful guides and strategies to also help you along.
And Many More
The streamers listed above are just some out of a plethora of great content creators for Age of Empires IV. There are plenty of others such as Wintergaming or FitzBro. Many streamers also specialize in certain civilizations (special shoutout to Delhi spammer szalamii1). If you branch out into other languages you can find even more, so make sure to browse to Twitch category a bit to find what you are looking for.
