Team Liquid crush Evil Geniuses on their way to LCS Lock-In Finals

Team Liquid brushed aside Evil Geniuses on their way to the LCS Lock-In Finals, despite their great showings earlier in the tournament.

The broadcast was plagued with numerous technical issues, which led to some lengthy pauses. Team Liquid however found themselves defeating Evil Geniuses rather easily however, where bot laner Edward “Tactical” Ra and support Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in once again showed themselves as one of (if not) the best bot lanes in the LCS.

Especially the first two games easily went the way of Team Liquid, who were in full control of the matches. We saw the Udyr picked up twice by Lucas “Santorin” Kilmer Larsen for Team Liquid, which turned out well, despite Evil Geniuses jungler Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen being one of the best performers for Evil Geniuses on his Olaf pick. All the while, support CoreJJ showed off his mechanics on the Thresh, hooking everything in sight.

Game three would prove to be a little more challenging for Team Liquid, who found themselves falling behind early, but managed to recover. This time the Udyr went to Evil Geniuses, but Santorin had a great answer on the Lillia pick, with other key roles being the Orianna in the mid lane and Tactical on Kai’Sa in the bot lane.

In the finals of the LCS Lock-In Tournament we’ll get to see Team Liquid, who are currently on a hot streak, taking on Cloud9, who were able to reverse sweep 100 Thieves in their previous series. The final will be played tonight, at 22:00 CET.
