With the Asian Rainbow Six Siege scene ever increasing, T1 looks to grow some talent of their own and looks into competing at the highest level.
The organisation has picked up the team formerly known as OhHamMa, who placed 3rd/4th at the most recent Korean Open. The Japan League prize pool increased to almost $300.000 for 2021, as the investment of Ubisoft to the Asian region is hard to miss. The Korean league however is also quite competitive, bringing forth multiple teams into the APAC North league. T1 has now ventured into the realm of Rainbow Six Siege for the first time, hoping to make it big in yet another title.

Growing talent, growing region
The team picked up is not a prize winner just yet however, with the team recently placing 3rd/4th at the Korean Open Spring the players have already shown some promise. With Wonil ‘iLeven’ Cha and Daeyeong ‘Damic’ Kim being experienced players and previous winners of the Pro League Season 11 – South Korea, there is a strong and stable base upon which the team could build and grow.
They are facing a big challenge though, quickly stepping into the APAC North League, which features two teams that bested them before in the Korean League and of course some incredibly strong Japanese teams. The question remains if the team can compete with these already established names and be able to gain some Six Invitational points during the year. If the growth already shown continues, there are good things to come for the team, but growth is something that can be noticed throughout the Asian Siege scene.
