T1 CEO apologizes to LS and T1 fans for recent issues

The CEO of esports organization T1, Joe Marsh, has issued an apology on Twitter to Nick “LS” De Cesare and the fans of the team. Over the last few weeks a leak saw LS potentially join up with T1 as a coach, which led to a big reaction coming out from the fans who also weren’t happy with the direction the team was taking in other areas.

As everything quieted down a little after T1 signed Yang “Daeny” Dae-in as head coach, the T1 CEO now talks about the whole situation. “I want to begin by recognizing that this message is long overdue to our beloved fans and community. Too much time has passed and my silence could be heard in every corner of our community.“ He also goes on to say he’s sorry for how the situation was handled.

Marsh then apologizes to both support Lee “Effort” Sang-ho, who received some harassment after the potential coaching staff got leaked. “To Lee “Effort” Sang-ho and his family – I am truly sorry for not addressing the root cause of the Discord message on your stream at the time of the incident. For final clarity, the issue was caused by an error in our streaming software and I’m sorry he had to publicly endure unfair criticism.”

Finally Marsh goes on to apologize to LS, who was harassed and criticized by T1 fans over the past few weeks. “As I’ve reflected over this time, I realize I failed to publicly defend and protect LS and T1 fans by remaining silent. While my staff and I were working behind the scenes to resolve this matter, I should have spoken publicly sooner. Shortly, LS will personally share his plans. And once again, LS and T1 fans, I’m sorry.”

In the end LS announced he decided to join T1 as a streamer and content creator going forward, hoping to put all the issues to rest.
