SwordArT leaves Suning – Moving to TSM?

Suning support Hu “SwordArT” Shuo-Chieh will be leaving the team. The LPL team announced the news on their Twitter page, thanking him for his services. SwordArT’s future is still up in the air as of now but multiple teams have reportedly expressed interest in him, among them LCS team TSM as frontrunner.

SwordArT, who previously played for Flash Wolves, joined up with Suning at the end of 2018. This 2020 season would turn out to be a great one for Suning and SwordArt, finding themselves in third place of the LPL Summer 2020 Split after beating LGD Gaming and winning the LPL Regional Finals. Their strongest showing came at Worlds 2020 where they’d reach the Grand Final against DAMWON Gaming, losing 1-3 to the Korean powerhouse.

One of the teams that has been linked most heavily to SwordArt is TSM over in the LCS. Their bot laner Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng had already expressed interest in playing with him for the upcoming season but the signing was apparently put on hold due to migration, visa and tax issues. TSM is currently still building their roster after recently acquiring mid laner Tristan “PowerofEvil” Schrage from FlyQuest and are still in dire need of a support for Doublelift.
