Stewie2K officially signs with Evil Geniuses CS:GO roster

Evil Geniuses announced on Twitter that Stewie2K has officially signed with its CS:GO roster. The first confirmed member in EG’s 2022 rebuild, this confirm comes after months of rumors predicting the roster move.

In the announcement video, Stewie states that he will join EG’s ‘new project’ as the team begins its European bootcamp. Both Autimatic and RUSH are heavily expected to fill out the remaining vacancies in EG’s CS:GO roster. Formerly teammates on the Major winning Cloud9 roster, Stewie will reunite with the two in 2022.

The trio most notably won the ELEAGUE Boston Major shortly before the squad almost entirely dissolved. Though seeing a short stint on the Brazilian SK Gaming roster, Stewie found a more permanent home on Team Liquid. Though the rifler found countless trophies with Team Liquid, he has departed the roster after nearly three years with the squad.

Stewie is set to join EG returning players Cerq and Brehze for the first time. The CS:GO team is also onboarding a new coach, as former G2 Esports coach Malek will also make his debut on the roster.

This new iteration of Evil Geniuses is set to debut at the BLAST Premier Spring Group Stage. With the groups already revealed, Stewie finds himself in the same group as Team Liquid, as well as his former teammate Twistzz’s organization, FaZe Clan. The event will begin on January 30th, as the team will face off against the Danish-French super team in Vitality.
