SofM fined for one month’s salary due to toxicity in Soloqueue

Worlds 2020 finalist SofM was fined due to toxic behavior during a soloqueue game a day prior to the finals. His team Suning now cracked down on his actions

In a soloqueue match the day before the Worlds finals Lê “SofM” Quang Duy was caught rage-AFK’ing after a gank went awry. As seen in the video below SofM reacted to a ping by Ryze and moved in to engage with Graves. As Ryze misses his Q leading to both players on Red side dying, SofM snapped.

He not only sold his items to AFK for the rest of the game but also said in chat: “If you can’t play, then don’t ping.”

Suning sanctions SofM

A couple days after the incident Suning now issued sanctions against their player. In their official statement on Weibo the Chinese organisation condemned the behavior and apologized on behalf of their player. Furthermore they stated that they reprimanded SofM on his actions and will be deducting his entire month’s salary for his misbehavior.

This is not the first time SofM was fined for behavior during games on the ladder. Four years ago he was also sanctioned for flaming China in a match on the Korean servers.
