shroud voices concerns over Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta

The Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta craze is in full effect, and even FPS legend Michael “shroud” Grzesiek couldn’t help but launching the game to try it out. It was a rough first meeting.

Just as the sun rises every morning, you can be sure every year around November you’ll find a new Call of Duty game to buy. It’s how the franchise has thrived, and kept sales to the max. This year’s title, Vanguard, has millions of players painstakingly waiting for the release.

For those who pre-ordered or got their hands on a beta code, the wait isn’t as long. In fact, the Vanguard Beta has entered its second week already.

You can count on shroud to try every big FPS title at least once on stream. His first impressions with Vanguard weren’t that positive though. Grzesiek seems “worried” about the current state of the game.

While acknowledging this is still a Beta build, shroud couldn’t help but wonder the state of the game was undesirable. “I mean it’s a beta, but holy this feels rough,” he said on stream. When asked what exactly he meant with the statement, and what exactly felt rough, he just replied “I mean, everything”.

As he went into more detail, he had quite the list of things that annoyed him.

“Audio is non-existent, shooting your gun feels cheap, hitmarkers feel cheap, sound cheap, sparks are flying, it’s like you’re shooting explosive bullets,” shroud clarified.

“It feels like a very early build, but isn’t it supposed to come out soon?”

Shroud joins a growing list of respected players and content creators who aren’t too impressed with the latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise.
