Shox leaves Team Vitality ahead of roster rebuild

After two years of representing the organization, French CS:GO legend Shox is officially leaving Team Vitality. Rumors around a Team Vitality rebuild have swirled for months, though the first stage of this is seemingly underway. Only days prior, XTQZZZ, Vitality’s coach, was also let go from the roster after years guiding the team.

Vitality announced the move via Twitter, showing gratitude for Shox’s contributions to the team since the team’s initial foray into CS:GO. The esports organization wrote that Shox’s name “will remain engraved in the Vitality history.” In his final months at Vitality, Shox helped the team qualify for the PGL Major, BLAST Premier World Finals, and more. A constant factor in the team’s greatest achievements, the team will now have to forge its way without its perennial member.

Changes are now inevitable for the French team as open positions in both the coaching staff and starting roster have opened up. Former Astralis players Magisk and Dupreeh are set to join the roster in 2022 competitive season. Expected to join his players into the next journey, coach Zonic will also fill the vacant head coach position for Vitality’s new look.

Shox has been projected to join Team Liquid for the upcoming season. The North American team has stationed themselves in Europe for a majority of the past two years. With a roster overhaul in the near future, Shox could potentially join oSee and Nitr0 in the new iteration of the roster. No matter where he ends up, it seems that Shox is remaining in CS:GO.
