Shox joins Team Liquid CS:GO roster

Team Liquid have announced that the organization has officially added Richard “Shox” Papillon to its CS:GO roster. The legendary French CS:GO player is set to join the North American organization ahead of the 2022 competitive season.

Shox is coming off of a nearly three-year stint with Team Vitality. As part of the French roster, Shox saw Vitality’s inception into the esports scene as well as contributed to some of its greatest accomplishments. Notably, with Vitality Shox won EPICENTER 2019, BLAST Premier: Fall 2020, and Intel Exreme Masters XVI.

Prior to playing with Vitality, Shox was part of the first French CS:GO ‘super team’ in G2 Esports. Competing at the top since 2008, Shox has one of the most storied and accomplished careers in CS:GO. Now, the next chapter of his extensive career will take place on Team Liquid alongside his new team.

Following several disappointing showings at the end of the year, Team Liquid have decided to overhaul its CS:GO roster. Longtime member Stewie2K is set to depart the roster alongside relatively ‘new’ members FalleN and Grim. Keeping on franchise players NAF and EliGe, Team Liquid have slowly filled out its 2022 vision.

Recently, the North American squad added oSee onto the roster. Coming off of Extra Salt, oSee is set to compete in Tier 1 competition in 2022 and will act as the main AWPer for the team. With Shox now entering the roster, only one vacancy is left to be filled on the team.
