Save The World no longer available on Mac after Apple takes another shot at Epic Games

Apple and Epic Games keep their war going, with the former now taking another step to cripple the latter. Apple decided to take away Epic Games’ ability to push patches, updates and games to Mac computers.

One of the biggest consequences of Apple’s actions is that players will no longer be able to play Epic Games’ Fortnite: Save The World, as Epic Games can’t push out their newest update. In the current state Epic Games is unable to further update and push out fixes for Save The World, leading to the game no longer being available on Mac. Epic Games shared some more information on their decision on Twitter.

To make the transition easier for players who played on Mac, Epic Games will be refunding packs for everyone who played the game in the past year. The refunds will be done automatically and players don’t have to take any action to receive them. Fortnite (Battle Royale) does remain playable on Mac but it is currently not receiving any more updates following the legal battle between Apple and Epic Games.

People who want to keep playing Save The World will have to do so on another platform, this being PlayStation, PC or Xbox. Any progress that players in the Mac version have made will be transferred over to any of these platforms, meaning players won’t lose the time they’ve invested into the game.
