Santorin to miss week 1 of the LCS Lock-In Tournament after visa issues

Team Liquid is facing some troubles for the upcoming LCS lock-in Tournament, as their new jungler Lucas “Santorin” Tao Kilmer Larsen is set to miss the first week after he experiences issues with his visa. Team Liquid will be looking to academy jungler Jonathan “Armao” Armao to fill Santorin’s shoes while he’s gone.

Santorin gave an update on his current situation in a video posted to the Team Liquid Twitter page. “Even though I’ve been playing in North America since 2014 I ran into visa issues, which means I won’t make it for week 1 of the Lock-in Tournament, which I’m really sad about. I lost about a few weeks of scrims with the team too, which hurts, but Armao will sub in for me and I bet he’ll do great. I will hopefully arrive sometime soon and play week 2.”

It’ll be interesting to see how Armao will perform, considering his last minutes in the LCS date back from his time with Dignitas in the 2020 Spring Split, who notoriously ended up in tenth place during that split. As Liquid has revamped their roster with Barney “Alphari” Morris and Santorin on board, expectations will no doubt be high.

The situation with the visa of Santorin is awfully similar to the one they faced with Broxah when he came over from Fnatic, also running into issues with his visa and missing out on scrims and some LCS play.
