It’s a sad day for Overwatch fans as Seonchang “ANS” Lee from San Francisco shock announced he’ll be retiring from competitive Overwatch. The 20-year-old South-Korean was known as a DPS player and already retired once back in January 2019 only to return at the end of the year.
ANS announced the sudden decision on his Twitter page, releasing a statement where he talks about the reasons for his retirement which he attributes to mental and physical issues. “I’ve been thinking about retirement for about half a year because I’ve caused a lot of problems to my teammates from my mental and physical condition. I would like to talk about it if I have a chance to explain the details later.”
Today a legend retires.

San Francisco shock also commented on the retirement. “Today a legend retires. From stomping ladder to Grand Finals champion, thank you ANS, for an incredible season. We wish you the best of health, and best of luck in your future endeavors.“
ANS was known as one of the best DPS players and one of the best Overwatch players as a whole, bringing San Francisco Shock to many victories. Most notably in the most recent Overwatch League of 2020, where SFS beat out Seoul Dynasty with a 4:2 score to snag the title. In his earlier career ANS was active within the Korean scene, playing for BlossoM with minor succes.
