We’re still waiting for him to appear in another game of his own again, but Sam Fisher will at least join Rainbow Six Siege. He was revealed in a reveal trailer that was posted to the Ubisoft YouTube channel, with a full reveal being teased for August 16.
The reveal of Sam Fisher being included in new Rainbow Six Siege content isn’t new, as some earlier leaks from months ago already pointed in that direction. Only now did he get officially revealed with his own trailer, confirming that he’ll become available.
A fictional letter appeared on the Ubisoft website as well, where character Lera “Finka” Melnikova talks about Fisher joining the fray. “His military expertise will be a good balance to your psychological insight. As he’s coming in as the first member of the Rainbow Operational Staff (ROS), I’m curious and cautious of the changes he’ll bring to our organization. I’m sure his instruction will be a necessary, and painful, experience.”
The post also seems to suggest Sam Fisher will be an attacker, with focus on recon and movement. “There is a flexibility of movement and behavior that can be used on the offensive as well as preparation for the defensive that is well suited to his inclination to take advantage of any situation.”
For more information on Sam Fisher’s inclusion in Rainbow Six Siege we’ll have to wait until August 16, when the full reveal for the character is scheduled.
