Call of Duty no longer releasing every year?

There are still plenty of open questions regarding the future of the many games that Activision Blizzard produces. Bloomberg’s report does give a rough framework of the plans for the future. Apparently Call of Duty’s release schedule is to be extended.

One of the reaosons for that could be Call of Duty’s less than stellar release so far. Technical problems and lack of popularity are all influencing Vanguard’s sinking star.

An extended release schedule could lead to more polished games and less issues due to scheduling. The esports scene would also profit as pros can explore a game more fully before having to transition to the next installment.

But the report has not been confirmed yet and is not official news. While a changed schedule could be interesting, nothing has been set in stone yet.
