Rumor: G2 Wunder, Mikyx, and Grabbz available for trade at the start of the offseason

Per Dot Esports, G2 Esports are in talks to trade two players, Martin “Wunder” Hansen and Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle, and their coach, Fabian “Grabbz” Lohmann. Beginning at the start of the offseason, all three G2 members will be available for buyouts. None of the three members have been traded or released from the team yet, though it seems unlikely that any will remain on the G2 starting roster.

This decision follows G2’s most disappointing year since their inception in European League of Legends. After failing to win either LEC Split or make an international event, including Worlds 2021, G2 are expected to undergo a significant overhaul.

Sources have reported the supposed costs each of these players and coach will be bought out for. Wunder’s buyout tops the charts with an over $2,000,000 amount while Mikyx is available for over $1,700,000. Grabbz contract will be available for any team for $187,000. Considering that the team have achieved four straight LEC titles and reached the World finals in 2019, interest has already accumulated for these contacts.

G2 is one of the first teams to start making offseason moves. The German esports organization has reportedly tried out several ERL players and even gotten into legal trouble with MAD Lions for alleged poaching. Having already secured their midlaner, Rasmus “Caps” Winther, it seems that no one else on G2 has a secure spot on the team. With teams like BDS and Vitality looking to buy, it seems likely that these three players will end up somewhere on a starting roster in either the LCS or LEC.
