Riot Games looks to make balance changes to Dr. Mundo

If we’re completely honest, Dr. Mundo hasn’t been in the best of places in season 12. That is when it comes to high-level competition and play, because he’s been tearing it up in the lower levels of play, ranging from Iron to Silver. Riot Games also took notice of his unbalanced win rate and is looking to make him a more appealing choice on the high end of the competitive spectrum as well.

Riot Games themselves are still undecided on how they’ll be handling the changes, as making Mundo a little stronger in the late game would make him too strong overall, as he’s a very solid early game champion. According to Glenn “Twin Enso” Anderson, chances are we’ll see a nerf to Mundo’s early and mid game so he can be made into the late game monster he’s supposed to be once more. When this change would be implemented hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Anderson likened Dr Mundo to other juggernauts who do really well further down the ladder, but have struggled once climbing, such as Urgot and Nasus, especially in recent times. Riot Games didn’t intend Dr Mundo to be one of those and wanted him to be an unkillable damage sponge late game, something he currently just isn’t doing.
