Riot Games leaks newest Agent codenamed ‘Sprinter’

The first VALORANT Agent of 2022 has been heavily hinted at by Riot Games, though was outright leaked by Twitch Prime. When going to view Amazon Prime rewards, many were greeted with artwork of the newest Agent. Dubbed ‘Sprinter’, the Agent’s first look was unfortunately through a mistake as Twitch Prime has since removed the artwork. The teaser image stayed up long enough for players and fans to screen grab the images.

A few things were already known about Sprinter before her leak. Firstly, that this Agent is from the Philippines, given the Tagalog present in the recent developer update and ominous Tweets. Second is that this would be a speed-based champion. Given the verbiage in updates related to her, Sprinter’s name only confirmed that this would be a fundamental part of her kit.

While it is heavily implied that Sprinter will be a duelist, this has not been confirmed. Her abilities currently have not been revealed and likely will not be until after VALORANT’s official announcement. At least some of her abilities will likely revolve around speed, as in the leaked artwork she is seen to be outrunning several other Agents and dodging one of Killjoy’s turrents.

There is still plenty of mystery regarding this Agent, including her official name, abilities, and release date. Perhaps a competitor to other movement and speed based Agents such as Jett, more will likely come out regarding Sprinter in the next few weeks.
