Riot Games details plans to nerf newest champion Zeri

Zeri is facing nerfs to basically all her abilities, but most of the planned nerfs are centered on her Q (Burst Fire). Nerfs include a decrease in base damage, the slow amount and duration on right click and the uncharged right click damage. Her W (Ultrashock Laster) and E (Spark Surge) both face longer cooldowns and the granted cooldown reduction on her E is decreased as well. Finally the attack speed granted by her Lightning Crash will be toned down to a static 30%.

The champion has been enabled for competitive play since last week and has seen play in basically all of the big competitions, most of the time to great effect, making her a prime target for most ban phases. Many professional players have already spoken out about the effectiveness of Zeri, with some calling for nerfs which they’re evidently getting.

Zeri is not the only champion that’s currently sitting on the chopping block. Champions such as Veigar, Dr. Mundo, Blitzcrank and Qiyanan are right there with her. Recently Riot Games has also shared they’ll be cracking down on the support item solo lane meta that has developed recently, which has been used to great effect on the competitive stage as well.
