Recommended Loadouts for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Choosing the correct loadout is essential to get the most out of your weapon in Call of Duty. Here are some of our recommendations.

The XM4 is one of the weapons unlocked immediately and players should have a strong loadout for the allrounder.

XM4 loadout:

  • Optic: Microflex LED
  • Muzzle: SOCOM Eliminator
  • Barrel: 13.5″ – Takedown
  • Under-barrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: 40 RND Speed Mag
  • Rear Grip: Airborne Elastic Wrap

Utilizing the SOCOM Eliminator the vertical recoil becomes much more controllable and also reduces the muzzle flash. The Field Agent Grip will reduce the recoil even more, while the barrel increases the effective damage range by 150 percent.

While the suggested loadout is not too mobile, it is very much suited to take down opponents over middle and long distances.

MP5 mania

One of the most iconic weapons in Call of Duty is the MP5. In Cold War some players are already claiming that the fan favorite is too strong. Especially speed and handling seem a bit too good for the community.

MP5 loadout:

  • Muzzle: Sound Suppressor
  • Barrel: 9.5″ – Reinforced Heavy
  • Under-barrel: Bruiser Grip
  • Ammunition: 40 RND Drum
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Handle

The improved barrel increases your effective damage range by 18 percent while buffing bullet speed by a whopping 80 percent. Coupled with the Bruiser Grip your speed will also be increased by 40 percent. Especially for a close combat weapon like the MP5 it is important to keep mobility and speed in mind.

AK-47

The AK-47 is one of the best assault rifles in Cold War. It is the fastest assault rifle with just 300 milliseconds Time to Kill and offers good control. Here is how you can get the full potential out of your AK:

AK-47 loadout:

  • Muzzle: KGB Eliminator
  • Barrel: 18.2″ – Takedown
  • Body: Steady Aim Laser
  • Under-barrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Ammunition: 40 RND Speed Mag
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Handle

The KGB Eliminator reduces vertical recoil by 17 percent and increases the aim of the weapon in pitched firefights. Together with the increased range from the barrel and the Steady Aim Laser your shots will be much more precise. The Quickdraw Handle then also improves your aim speed by 10 percent.
