Professional R6 player Canadian retires after successful career

He’s been at the top of the Rainbow Six scene for five years, but now Troy ‘Canadian’ Jaroslawski has decided to step down from active play.

The two time Six Invitational winner is among the best the game has ever seen. Coming quite quickly after another legendary player in the form of Niclas ‘Pengu’ Moritzen retired, some could say his North American counterpart did the same. Canadian and Pengu have been playing since the release of Rainbow Six Siege, with both players taking two Six Invitational titles.

The lack of LAN-events due to the ongoing pandemic was one of the main reasons for Canadian’s retirement, as the motivation of working towards something wasn’t there anymore. The Six Invitational 2021 being held in a LAN form again brought forth some hope, only to be disappointed by it being postponed. Canadian thought it unfair for him to keep playing with his team whilst he did not feel his IGL skills and motivation were up to the level needed to stay ahead of the competition.

Canadian has said not to be sure of what the future holds, with playing or coaching not being one of the possibilities for the near future. He will focus on streaming and look from there on out. Of course he can still be found Six on Six with Interro, with episodes possibly coming out more consistently than before.
