Professional Fortnite player and streamer Clix sees Twitch channel banned indefinitely

One of the most prominent and popular Fortnite pro players Clix has been banned from Twitch, without the platform providing a reason as to why.

Clix first talked about his ban on Twitter, where he says he found out about the ban (which turned out to be a permanent/indefinite one). He’ll have to submit an appeal to lift the ban on his account, but according to Clix he has no idea why his channel was banned in the first place. Twitch is notorious for not giving out the reason behind a permanent ban, as this kind of situation has popped up in the past.

It’s not the first time that Clix received a ban, as he was issued shorter bans back in 2019. The permanent ban itself is even more weird considering he’s signed an exclusivity contract with the platform a couple months ago in 2020. Clix is playing under the NRG banner and the organization has already said they’re trying to get in contact with Twitch to determine the cause of the ban and to get it lifted. In the meantime, they’ve tweeted out the hashtag ‘#FreeClix” on their twitter account, which made it to trending.

We’ll have to wait and see how the situation continues to evolve, as some people have already made guesses as to why the Twitch account of Clix has been banned. Some citing accidental nudity, while others claim it to be related to the DMCA situation Twitch has been facing recently.
