Players criticize Warzone for boring map design of Caldera

The new map has of course been compared to Verdansk ever since it was released in the game and there’ve been some praise as well as criticism. Many praise Caldera for its bright and lush colors, a huge improvement over Verdansk’ drab grey look which featured many one-note apartment buildings, but they are finding fault with a lot of locations on the new map, calling them ‘boring’ and ‘uninspired’.

Many players have specifically spoken out about the center of Caldera, which is mostly barren hills and offers little to no interesting gameplay. While they like the more interesting locations scattered across the map, they’re mostly centered around the outskirts. With the circle more often than not closing in the middle, Warzone fans have been criticizing the boring endgame on Caldera, which all too often is the same thing over and over again.

When it comes to the flow of the map, there is some reason for concern, as the most visited locations and places on Caldera are featured on the outskirts, which often leads to an interesting early game, but the action becomes kind of one-note and boring towards the middle and end of matches. Players hope the developers can find some solution to the issues, as they’re getting bored of Caldera relatively quick.
