Patch 1.14 – Bugfixes and a Map Update

VALORANT has gotten a new patch. Update 1.14 has fixed two bugs in regards to Sage and Killjoy. Icebox was also adjusted and seasonal flair has arrived to VALORANT in snowball fights.

While Patch 1.13 was only improving the Unreal Engie within VALORANT, Riot Games has given players a lot more for 1.14.
First off they have fixed Sage’s wall being key to abusing a bug in combination with Omen as the wall can no longer be used in the pre-round phase.
However, Sage also received a buff:

  • Once fortified, Barrier no longer loses health over time—Barrier only starts to deteriorate a few seconds before it expires.

Killjoy was the other agent affected by the bugfixes in this Patch. Her turret can no longer be placed under the map.

Adjustments to Icebox

Riot has brought changes to the newest map Icebox. Especialyl the verticals were adjusted to make it more intuitve for players. Crosshair placement should be a lot more natural now.

Snowball fights

The new patch will also bring a new time-limited mode “Snowball Fight”. Teams play deathmatch with Snowball Launchers with the first to 50 kills winning.

Riot also improved the accessability of competitive mode. Players with lower ranks will get more chances to increase their ranks. But they will need to win ten unranked matches before unlocking ranked.
