Overwatch League 2021 – What you need to know

The offseason for the Overwatch League is nearing the end, as we’ve now received some more details about the upcoming season.

Matches of the Overwatch League 2021 will resume on April 16, as the Dallas Fuel and Houston Outlaws are set to kick things off. The Overwatch League features an east and west division, with teams being divided between the two. The season itself will consist of frames containing multiple weeks of matches, with a total of four tournaments spread in. These tournaments are the May Melee, June Joust, Summer Showdown and Countdown Cup.

Teams will earn a point for every win they get during the regular season, with additional points being granted to teams who finish in the top three of the tournaments. All of the League points teams obtain will count towards the standings of the regular season, with the top three teams in the west and top two teams in the east advancing to the play-offs, while other teams can qualify for the play-ins.
