No less than 6,011,257 players participated in this year’s Pick’ems in an attempt to win every Ultimate skin ever released in League of Legends.
Ultimate skins are available for Ezreal, Udyr, Lux, Miss Fortune, Sona, and Seraphine. If you don’t have the perfect track record, and let’s face it, those odds are immensely stacked against you, you earn points on the picks you correctly chose.
Only six Pick’ems remain perfect at the halfway point of the quarter-finals. These are players who correctly guessed FunPlus Phoenix not making it out of groups, and EDG winning against RNG.
It’s only normal to see less and less 100% Pick’em rates as the tournament progresses, but many players were not expecting the first-ever four-way tie in Worlds history. That tie enabled MAD Lions and Gen.G to advance to the quarter-finals.
Depending on how good they do, players are put into tiers. Currently, there are 47 players in the Elder Dragon Tier, and 6,200 in the Blue Sentinel tier. If you’re in one of these groups, you’re in the top 1% of all six million players who participated.
The six players remaining in the top tier, the Baron Nashor tier, are close to the perfect Pick’ems, but with DK and MAD Lions, and C9 and Gen.G still to be played, we might see the number in this group dwindle down.
