Former Heroic star niko projected to join OG

Heroic’s former rifler is projected to fill the vacancy left by NBK on OG.

After dropping Nathan “NBK” Schmitt from the starting roster, OG’s search has led them to the recently benched Heroic player Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen. Niko was a crucial part of Heroic’s sudden jump to first place in the HLTV World rankings in the past year after winning ESL One Cologne and Dreamhack Open. The rifle heralds a 71.4% KAST, .70 KPR, and 75.9 DPR across his whole career.

Heroic’s recent signing of former MAD Lions players Ismail “refrezh” Ali and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck put niko on the bench in light of the team’s recent performances and subsequent fall from grace.

While still in the early phases of negotiations and still looking to find an amicable deal, niko’s transition to OG seems likely. Not only does OG have an open position but the move would reunite niko with former teammate Valdemar “Valde” Bjørn Vangså from North and Heroic and coach Casper “ruggah” Due from his time on OpTic.

Both teams struggled in IEM Katowice, dropping in the group stage with incredibly underwhelming performances when compared to their showings in the past year. OG hopes that niko’s historically consistent performance can put them back where they want to be.
