Next stop movie star? – Ninja sets sights on Hollywood

Is this the end of a great streamer career? Tyler Blevins, better known under his alias Ninja, has set his sights to a career as actor

What do you do when your streaming platform shuts down and you do not want to return to Twitch? In Ninja’s case you apparently decide to just aim for Hollywood.

Movies instead of streaming

Since Microsoft pulled the plug on Mixer the streamer star has seemingly lost the motivation for daily streams. In an Interview with The Hollywood Reporter he said: “I’m a lot more comfortable and relaxed knowing I don’t have to be live every single day.”

Instead his ambitions seem to have swapped towards the movie industry. Ninja already has some acting experience as the comedy “Free Guy” will see him appear next to Ryan Reynolds on the Big Screen in Winter.

Another short acting stint was supposed to happen in “Jumanji: The Next Level” but his cameo was cut from the final product.

A natural?

His venture into movies has already paid off despite the cut in Jumanji. Apparently the crew on the “Free Guy” set were positively surprised by Ninja’s acting. Some even called him a natural at acting. According to the Hollwood Reporter that encouragement has now led to him looking for opportunities in movies, voice-acting and animated series.

With his experience as one of the biggest streamers Ninja certainly has a shot at an acting career. Not a stranger to cameras surrounding him, he also knows how to interact with the public. Perhaps more importantly for interested studios, Ninja still has a gigantic fanbase that might just carry over to future acting projects.
