Next ‘Call of Duty’ title might be Black Ops

Data miners might have found some new information regarding the new Call of Duty title, by uncovering a picture. The image itself featured a title card for Call of Duty: Black Ops, implying it might be the title of the next iteration in the Call of Duty franchise.

The alpha patch files for the next Call of Duty game were supposedly found by data miners, revealing some more information about the game under the codename ‘The Red Door’. There they found hints at a campaign and multiplayer mode, with zombies making a return. There might even be a hint at a battle royale modus in there, but none of the information or rumors have been confirmed.

An image was also posted by Twitter user ‘GarnetSunset’ that seems to feature the Call of Duty: Black Ops logo and title. It’s possible that the image and logo is currently a placeholder for the eventual title, which could still be different. As previous leaks pointed in the direction of a Call of Duty title situated in the Cold War, the franchise might very well go there.

Treyarch, who’ll be developing the upcoming Call of Duty game, haven’t yet responded to any of the speculation or rumors. Likewise, any official information on the game has not been shared yet. We’ll just have to wait it out.

What do you think about the supposed leaks? Would you mind going back to the cold war era in Call of Duty? Let us know and join the conversation on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Discord.
