New Warzone anti-cheat Ricochet allegedly already leaked after just a day

Activision and Call of Duty showed off their newest anti-cheat software Ricochet on October 13, something a lot of fans had been waiting for as their games have been plagued by hackers for quite a while now, ruining their gaming experience. According to some recent news however, the new software has already been leaked and hackers are already reverse-engineering it so they can bypass it.

According to the Twitter account of the Anti-Cheat Police Department, an online watchdog group, the kernel driver for the software has already leaked, giving hackers and programmers free reign to crack down its defenses. “Unfortunately, the kernel driver for Call of Duty’s new Anti-cheat called RICOCHET got leaked today, and P2C devs are already reversing it, this is already very bad.”

The account shows screenshots to prove their point and goes on to say that the software will be easily reversed. They did go on to cut Activision some slack, saying how difficult it is to keep cheaters away from their games. “I wish all the best for the Activision anti-cheat team, this field is not easy to be in and it is very difficult to overcome very complex challenges, some people need to understand that it is easier being on the attacking side than the defending side in this field”
